Day 5 of the Thrive HQ Juice Cleanse...

We were out on the road yesterday, but we stuck to our juices and found the fab bottles from Water-to-Go double up as great juice bottles too.

It's day 5 and I'm 5lbs down and feeling fab.
We've been following Natural Juice Junkies 'Juicing on a budget'.
This mornings juice was a tasty ginger slammer and a 'red beetroot belter'

We've added a squeeze of lemon to our slammers for that extra zing!

Ginger slammer: 1 apple, 1 thumbsized piece of ginger, squeeze of lemon.

Beetroot belter: 2 apples, 1 raw beetroot, thumbsized piece of ginger, 1 lime

Still using the ever reliable, easy to clean Froothie Optimum 600 slow juicer.
No fuss, no mess - just smooth juice everytime...

Day 3 Juice 2 and we're sick of cleaning that juicer...

It's day 3 of our 'Thrive Juice Cleanse' and yep if we're honest we are sick of washing the juicer! But, we're still loving the juice and how much energy it gives us. Any tips on cleaning the juicer would be appreciated.

We're so glad that the Froothie Optimum 600 is so easy to clean..

Day 3 - Juice 2 in the juicy household...
We added some natural protein powder from Marvellous Superfood (100% Organic) to this one.

x 1 Beetroot, x 4 carrots x thumb sized piece of ginger and an apple thrown in for luck :)

Day 2 - Juice 3 - Beet me to it!

Juice 3 today is a super bold 'beetroot belter' and we love it :)

This little baby is so delicious, our favourite so far. So, a big thumbs up to Natural Juice Junkie for this recipe:

  • 1 beetroot
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/2 avocado
The pineapple sweetens the juice so well and it's still got all of the marvellous benefits of beetroot. We're total beet freaks here, it's great for the blood and has a high level of antioxidants too.

Which juicer? That is the question...

...and the answer for us is most definitely the Froothie Optimum 600...
I've burnt my way through some juicers on my juice cleanses before and I've always been disappointed with the amount of juice that is left in the pulp of the fruit and veggies.
But the Optimum 600 is in a different league.

No more chopping, no more clogging - just lots more smoother juice which = lots more vitmains and minerals.

Day 2 of the Thrive HQ Juice cleanse...

Good morning juicers...
Day 2 and up at 6am, full of energy and feeling fab. This isn't about weight loss for me,  it's the boot up in energy that keeps me coming back. Before you say it you sceptics out there - it's not spikes, it's a level plateau. (although if you're really after the change in lbs - it's 3lbs down from day 1) and a much flatter belly too. :)

Juice 1 and 2 already down the hatch - "well, hello lovely little greenie"

Looking forward to Juice 3 - a greenie too...
x 1 apple
x 4 romaine leaves
x thumb sized piece of ginger
x 1 stick of celery
